Plot wise, you should have applied the deeper meaning of vision quests. There are far more aspects of development than realizing who you are. You also didn't explain how he developed his skills. Where's the stimulation?

The sound works, but you need a sustaining animation to fit the music. Along with animation there were numerous flaws with your background. Always keep track of your workspace before you submit your work. You should definitely make a series, but work on your art style so you can develop a better series.
